Katie Auren

Controller

Katie Auren joined HegeStar in 2023 as Controller. In her role, Katie is responsible for overall accounting operations, including the annual budget, monthly financials, payroll, annual insurance policies, and oversight of accounts receivable/payable. In addition, she manages the human resources and technology functions of the company. Katie ensures processes and policies continue to meet best practice standards while maintaining efficiency. Katie also has the responsibilities of Controller for Blue Rose Capital Advisors.

Katie has more than 15 years’ experience working in various aspects of accounting, most recently serving as Senior Accountant at Blu Dot Manufacturing and Design. Her previous roles also include Controller for Penn Strategic Imports and Accounting Manager at Global Tax Network.

Ms. Auren holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Bemidji State University.
